Review For Chicagoland Vampire Series

SOME GIRLS BITE-
Sure, the life of a graduate student wasn't exactly glamorous, but it was Merit's. She was doing fine until a rogue vampire attacked her. But he only got a sip before he was scared away by another bloodsucker—and this one decided the best way to save her life was to make her the walking undead.
Turns out her savior was the master vampire of Cadogan House. Now she's traded sweating over her thesis for learning to fit in at a Hyde Park mansion full of vamps loyal to Ethan “Lord o' the Manor” Sullivan. Of course, as a tall, green-eyed, four-hundred- year-old vampire, he has centuries' worth of charm, but unfortunately he expects her gratitude— and servitude. But an inconvenient sunlight allergy and Ethan's attitude are the least of her concerns. Someone's still out to get her. Her initiation into Chicago's nightlife may be the first skirmish in a war—and there will be blood.

FRIDAY NIGHT BITES-
The story of a young heiress's initiation into the dark society of the Chicagoland Vampires continues...
Ten months after vampires revealed their existence to the mortals of Chicago, they're enjoying a celebrity status usually reserved for the Hollywood elite. But should people learn about the Raves-mass feeding parties where vampires round up humans like cattle-the citizens will start sharpening their stakes.
So now it's up to the new vampire Merit to reconnect with her upper class family and act as liaison between humans and bloodsuckers, and keep the more unsavory aspects of the vampire lifestyle out of the media. But someone doesn't want peace between them-someone with an ancient grudge...

TWICE BITTEN
Shapeshifters from across the country are convening in the Windy City, and as a gesture of peace, Master Vampire Ethan Sullivan has offered their leader a very special bodyguard: Merit, Chicago's newest vampire. Merit is supposed to protect the Alpha, Gabriel Keene-and to spy for the vamps while she's at it. Oh, and luckily Ethan's offering some steamy, one-on-one combat training sessions to help her prepare for the mission.
Unfortunately, someone is gunning for Gabriel, and Merit soon finds herself in the line of fire. She'll need all the help she can get to track down the would-be assassin, but everywhere she turns, there are rising tensions between supernaturals-not least between her and a certain green-eyed, centuries-old master vampire.

HARD BITTEN
Chicago is beset by supernatural tensions, and Merit-vampire protector of a safe haven called Cadogan house-is worried that the humans will be reaching for their pitchforks any minute. It doesn't help that yet another vampire rave is broken up by the mayor, and a new inhibition- reducing drug is circulating through the community.
It's up to Merit to put her house in order-literally. And if that takes getting a little blood on her hands, so be it.

DRINK DEEP-  (COMING NOVEMBER 1, 2011)
In the fifth entry in Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires series, with the city in turmoil, the waters of Lake Michigan turn pitch black—-and Merit must turn to friends old and new to find out who's behind this spell of the darkest magic before it's too late.

This series was highly recommended by the members of HP's book club and I have to say I'm so glad I listened. I was totally ravished by the story which  seduced me from the first paragraph and enticed me to continue reading well into the wee hours of the night. The plot is wicked! I instantly fell in love/annoyed by the characters (I know its conflict of emotions hehe) Merit is a kick-ass chick who doesn't take no for an answer, head strong and honor bound. Ethan got on my last nerves ever second that he could. But I must say I might be a bit of a masochist *evil grin* because in the end he dug his way into my heart and stole my breath away every second that was possible. His charm a witty banter were total turns-ons. The sexual tension combined with all the action in the books kept me on my toes. Chloe Neill is AWESOME! When I read the last page of "Hard Bitten" i was an emoitional reck and with full body sobbs. ( I know sounds crazy right) But she sent me on a readers emotional roller coasters and not alot of writers have that gift. I truly can't wait till "Drink Deep" comes out! Until then I'll have to mend my broken heart with tons of chocolate and alcohol hehe. All in all I give this series 4 1/2 stars!

About a yr an 1/2 ago I got back into reading after finding what truly turns me on ... to reading that is ! Lol, which is the paranormal romances. There's just something exciting about getting into the authors mind and living in the world that they create, even if its just for a couple of hours a day. So as I venture out into this blogging world I'll share with you guys my thoughts on some of my current reads and of course LOTS of sexy eye candy! I look foward to this new world *hehe*
